About the teacher:
My name is Bridget Betts, and I have been teaching in the Los Angeles Unified School district for 8 years. I have taught TK, Kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades. This year will be my second year teaching 5th grade at Vintage Magnet, and I'm so excited to get started with all of you.
I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (which is why I'm such a history nut!). I moved to Los Angeles in 2001 to attend Loyola Marymount University. I also have a Masters in Education from Pepperdine University, a Masters in Educational Administration from National University, and an administrative services credential. You can definitely say I'm a lifelong learner!
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy hiking, swimming, skiing and traveling with my son Aiden, who will also be a fifth grader this year.
I look forward to getting to know you and your children this year! As you know, the last year of elementary school is an important milestone in a student's life, and I look forward to working in partnership with you to make this the most memorable year possible!
